It is quite comforting knowing that God knows about our struggles in life, including our struggles with sin and death which is of utmost importance. As our loving Father, God wants to free us his children from all these (Isaiah 40:1-2, Matthew 18:12-14). Hence the need and reason for his second coming. This obviously calls for great jubilation (Psalm 96:1-3,10-13), especially being aware that left to ourselves we will wither like grass and fade like flowers (Isaiah 40:6-8).

Hence, we necessarily need to appreciate such great love. To this end, all the barriers – mountains, hills and cliffs – those situations, persons or things which tends to restrict or block the influx of God’s graces in our lives, must be to brought low (Isaiah 40:3-4). Then will the glory of the Lord be manifest in us, forever (Isaiah 40:5).
