Reflection Passage For Today: Mark 3:13-19

A nickname is often used in place of a thing’s or a person’s proper name. It can either be a sign of endearment or derision. This is often dependent on someone’s experience of, or relationship with the object nicknamed.

To the sons of Zebedee, Jesus gave the nickname “Boanerges” or “Sons of Thunder” (Mark 3:17) possibly on account of their zeal for God (Luke 9:54).

Reflecting on your life as a Christian so far, what name do you think He gave you – tepid? (Revelation 3:15-17).

And “You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us” – 2 Corinthians 9:11

  1. Thank you dear Lord for knowing me by name. And for always being there for me.
