Reflection Passages For Today: 1 Samuel 3:3-10,19; Psalm 40:2,4,7-10; 1 Corinthians 6:13-15,17-20; John 1:35-42

My dear friends like Samuel and the Apostles, we have all been called by God to serve him, in and through one another in the different fields of endeavour we may find ourselves (1 Samuel 3:3-10,19; John 1:35-42).

Again, Like Samuel we are to listen to God as he speaks to us through our conscience (1 Samuel 3:3-10,19); and to see and experience him in and through the scriptures (John 1:35-42). Only then will we be able to understand that the true purpose of our existence is not to self-indulge, but to live virtuously in obedience to God’s word (1 Corinthians 6:13-15,17-20).

And “You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us” – 2 Corinthians 9:11
