We Are God’s Beloved

At the baptism of Jesus, the Holy Spirit came down upon him (Mark 1:10, Isaiah 42:1), and the voice of the Father was heard addressing him as his beloved Son (Mark 1:11, Isaiah 42:1). My dear friend, this is also what happens when we are baptised. We are God’s beloved and have received the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Like Jesus, our task is to strive to bring about the triumph of good over evil in this world (Isaiah 42:1-7).
