Having received so much love from God who for our sake, took our human nature which is what we commemorate and celebrate at Christmas in other to take away our sins (John 1:29, 1 John 3:5, Psalm 97(98):1,3-6). And who, to free us from the clutches of the evil one did also lay down his life on the cross to reconcile us with God our Father, making us children again (1 John 3:1). The birth of Jesus invites us into a new life, into a new and improved relationship with God (1 John 2:29).
To this end, we must endeavour to refrain from sinning. To achieve this, we must strive to restrain and free ourselves from all thoughts, silences, words and deeds which offends God (1 John 3:3-6).
