Dear friends, with the coming of the saviour comes the demand on us all to bear witness to his mission and message in this world. Hence, we all need to bear witness to this good news of salvation not only with our words and deeds, but also even with our lives if need be, just as Stephen did (Acts 6:8-10,7:54-59). This will often not be easy, but our strength is in the Lord who never abandons his people (psalm 30(31):3-17, Matthew 10:17-22).

Like Stephen may our eyes be firmly fixed on our eternal goal and not on the temporary difficulties we may have to encounter (Acts 7:59, Matthew 10:22).

Reflection Passages For Today: Acts 6:8-10,7:54-59; Psalm 30(31):3-17; Matthew 10:17-22

And “You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us” – 2 Corinthians 9:11
