SEVERE MISPLACED PRIORITIES

Often times, our relationship(s) with things, status and/or persons constitute stumbling block(s) in our journey from this transient life to eternity. To this end, Jesus has this to say to us: “The children of this world take wives and husbands, but those who are judged worthy of a place in the other world and in the resurrection from the dead do not marry because they can no longer die, for they are the same as the angels, and being children of the resurrection they are sons of God.” (Lk. 20:34-36). Thus implying that things will be considerably different in eternity from how it is currently here on earth.

Therefore, if the above is true and it is, on the authority of Jesus Christ himself, then the only reasonable thing to do is to stringently strive not to allow any relationship with things, status and/or persons here on earth militate against our chances of eternal bliss with God in heaven.
